Day 1: Foundations & Adaptations

Introduction to Neurodiversity: Participants begin by exploring core concepts—what it means to be neurodivergent, how conditions like ADHD or Autism Spectrum Disorder can affect learning, communication, and sensory processing, and the importance of a strengths-based approach.
Implications for Hypnotherapy: The morning session delves into how neurodivergent traits influence attention, suggestibility, and trance states. By afternoon, the focus shifts to communication strategies, rapport-building techniques, and practical adjustments (e.g., shorter inductions, clearer language) to accommodate diverse needs.
Psychology: How understanding psychology can support the journey for the individual.
Ethical Considerations: The day wraps up with a discussion on ethical guidelines, consent, and maintaining a supportive environment, ensuring respect for individual experiences and boundaries.

Day 2: Practical Application & Case Studies

Review & Case Study Discussions: The day begins with a recap of Day 1’s key points, followed by group analysis of hypothetical client scenarios. Participants collaborate to identify potential challenges and devise customised hypnotherapy strategies.
Demonstrations & Practice: Instructor demonstrates adapted hypnotic inductions, then guide participants in hands-on practice sessions. Small groups work together, offering peer feedback on induction styles and script development.
Advanced Techniques & Troubleshooting: The afternoon focuses on managing unexpected responses (e.g., sensory overload) and refining session structures in real time. Participants learn to incorporate mindfulness, grounding methods, and technology-based solutions where appropriate.
Conclusion & Next Steps: The module concludes with a reflection on key takeaways, further reading suggestions, and guidance on integrating newly acquired skills into everyday practice.
